Electric Shuffle - Canary Wharf

Electric Shuffle opened in November 2019 in Canary Wharf, from the same team behind Flight Club and it was designed by Ellis Design Studio.

Nocturne worked with EDS to develop lighting elements throughout the bar, including the main feature wheel behind the main bar on the ground floor. The concept of the wheel was inspired by Nikola Tesla’s spiral coil from his high-voltage transformer from the late 19th century. The centre of the wheel which rotates, has 12 LED lights attached to it, with the lights on the outside frame controlled by DMX enabling them to strobe and move as programmed.

We also made four LED tube pendants with two hung either side of the main wheel. These were made in brass and hung from steel frames from the second floor balcony.

The signature light at Electric Shuffle are the reeded glass tube lights that feature throughout the bar. Each shuffle table has one either side and 25 of the lights are fixed to copper tube as ceiling lights. They are made from brass which we patinated and reeded glass with a LED tube inside. Each of the arm brackets can be adjusted so they fit to the copper tube perfectly.

Each of the main bar tables has a table lamp installed on it, these were made with two brass tubes with a bend in each and a brass laser-cut mesh that covers the long LED tube bulb.
