Selfridges Body Studio

Nocturne was asked by Selfridges and designers Neri & Hu to make 9 pairs of brass tube lights for an area of the new Body Studio on the 3rd floor of the Oxford Street building.

Each light was made bespoke including the LED tube light source which utilised Linear LED strip. 

Working with the Neri & Hu's drawn design we engineered physical prototypes to test the method before multiple making began. The brass frames were laser cut out and rolled by hand into the correct shape and then panels of expanded and flattened brass mesh were cut to size and soldered into the each frame. Each part was patinated to an antique brass finish and assembled.
